Whenever I’m on my period, I tend to go on a TV show marathon. I mean, what else is there to do when you can’t get up or move much, and everything else you do hurts?
Put something on TV, of course. And my case, it’s TV show marathon. And this is the list of what I’d watch when I couldn’t enjoy life and lie around in my misery.
1. Gossip Girl
Nobody knows you better than Gossip Girl. It’s the total guilty pleasure package. Don’t lie to me and say you don’t cheer when Blair and Chuck finally get their happy ending, or when Serena and Blair hug and call it truce. Or that you don’t feel like re-watching the seasons again when you find out who Gossip Girl really is. Not that I’m doing that right now.
2. Pretty Little Liars
Keep guessing. That’s the fun part. Who is it? Where’s A? Who’s on whose side? How cute is that outfit! Who’s going to end up with who? How and why are they hooking up? That’s not right! Anyone else on team Hanna Caleb? I know I am. Alright, well, this show makes no sense sometimes but hey, we all like the game of guessing. Or most of us do.
3. Sex and the City
Carrie, Carrie, Carrie. What would we do without your outrageous outfits and silly flings? This show helped me find out who I wanted to be, really, and I’m sure it’s helped some people too. I mean, we have four different women with their different personalities and lives, and every single one of them presents real issues that come with each personality. The lifestyle, choices, interests, etc. And it’s fascinating to watch.
4. Game of Thrones
This is my ultimate jam. Unfortunately, I probably have re-watched it too many times that I am currently taking a break from it. But if you check my Instagram account, you will see just how not over Game of Thrones I am. How can I be? I love Tyrion Lannister so much, and I pray for GRRM every night before I go to bed. May he live long, and finish the series. Please.
Hands down one of the very best shows ever. House is amazing. I am talking about the first few seasons by the way, after the original team fell apart I just started losing interest. But between the insane cases thrown our way and House’s incredible sarcasm, what’s not to love? When I was younger, I wanted to be just like him, except that I didn’t end up going for medical school and now that I’m older, really glad that I didn’t. It’s still an enjoyable show though. It’s so good.
