I seem to have a lot of time on my hands these days. I have been indulging in movies, sitcoms, and songs that inhabited my childhood. Example – Michel Jackson – I wouldn’t even attempt to mention only a single album or music because ‘oh my’ that will be undermining my love for the King of Pop.
Remember those days -the Smooth Criminal, Billie Jeans, and the very scary Thriller – which by the way I couldn’t watch with both eyes open until recently in my twenties [Yes, I am a scaredy-cat].
And not forgetting my current obsession with ‘In the closet’ – a sexy music video with the beautiful model Naomi Campbell who can wow the dance floor as much as that runway.
There certainly is something about that ‘beat’ in the background that drives my addiction to the roof. Super-duper catchy!
Below is the instrumental version only- you’ll find out why when you listen or watch the actual music video
“Now this is story all about how my life got flipped, turned upside down…” when you heard that theme song on tv, you knew it was going to be a fun twenty-plus minutes of entertainment.
“The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” is still one of the shows that consume my attention when its on.
It definitely aligns with my love for ‘the Mummy’ – which though most might not know of it or love due to bad CGI effect or whatever, I certainly do not hide the little shame I have when I say I have watched it more than fifty times no lie, no kidding – serious.
Did I just forget the Calton dance – oh Gosh …here it is
Last but certainly not least on this mini reminiscent list, Rush Hour!
When you put Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan together, you can’t not expect something exceptionally hilarious. I have and still pop on this movie once or twice a month to put a big grin on my face.
Also, for someone who needs to have something playing in the background when doing some mild reading, this movie couldn’t be better to have on constantly. It wouldn’t grab my attention too much (since I have watched it numerousss times) but it wouldn’t keep me too focused either – I mean who can stay focused when detective Carter is cracking up jokes while Chief Inspector Lee is doing all those karate moves?
Did ya’ll hear about the new ‘Rush Hour’ series, watched the trailer a couple of weeks ago, and I just shook my head. New actors, same story line – nothing spiced up. I kind of want to watch it butttt… who can replace the originals??
They were just such a good irreplaceable pair that though their third movie wasn’t my personal best, just as the third “Mummy”, and a few other thirds, I still think they should make a fourth one… I’m waiting.
