A History of Sorrow in our Skin

There’s sorrow in our flesh

A history of grieve resides within

The color of its texture is symbolic to our fight

And it gives strength to our generation

.

It started years ago

And it still persist today, disguised in equality chants

We co-live, we laugh but we never forget…neither do they

This is our society, one which we are proud of

On which constantly reminds us that there’s hope

But one who shames us with a modest whip.
