The Road of my Childhood

I woke up with the zeal to exercise – So, I ran

I ran beyond the hill facing our house

I ran up and down a slope and onto the road of my childhood

I ran on the road that appeared nicer than I’d left it

I ran into a future where all was mechanized

I ran toward the tall buildings that inhabited my neighborhood

I ran passed my nemesis’ house before I stopped and inquired about her

I ran into the booth where a stranger sat with documents that looked like taxes

I stopped, not exhausted but inquisitive of something

Then I ran again

I kept running till my dream was disturbed by day.
