En watching New Year’s Eve… I am a sucker for movies like this. So while clearing up my tissue box by wiping off my tears, I thought of:
New chapter, forgiveness, acceptance, and finally, new year’s resolution.
And dear Ganesh, before I start writing a question… Please do not make me the next Carrie Bradshaw who always has questions and vague answers.
So, I am not going to write a question.
But I will say this, that nobody is perfect. We all have our inner demons. We have our flaws. And we make stupid mistakes all the time. The nicest thing you can do is to forgive. Give a second chance. Have a little more faith.
Do not keep a black list of everything everyone has done to you. Because people change. People fall and get back up on their feet. It happens. I have seen some walking miracles around.
We need to remember that the only thing that is constant is change. That things will never stay the way they are. Even rocks change. And we do not need a new year to flip a page. Because everyone is flipping pages all the time.
We don’t have to wait until December 31 to make up our mind. To decide that, “Hey, a change might be good.” Because it happens all the time. We just have to be brave enough to go for it. You can’t finish a book if you do not flip to the next page. You can’t be stuck on page 1. And you can’t be satisfied with the idea that everything stays the same. People change. The world changes. You change.
But be flexible. Be aware of changes and possibilities. Of what is possible. Because life is full of surprises and you may never know what is waiting for you around the corner.
So take your chances. Flip that page. You have no idea what is waiting for you, and there is no other way to find that out but to move forward and embrace changes. And have a little faith.
You will be okay.
